Ground Zero will always represent GORUCK’s origins, so when the Challenge comes to NYC – and we have been back often – it has special meaning for us.  Being in New York City for the 10th anniversary of September 11th was a memorable time shared with friends new and old, and we are looking forward to spending that weekend together every year.

The Challenge’s roots are the fraternal ways of Special Forces, and the Special Forces way is to celebrate the life of fallen heroes no matter what. We see this NYC 9/11 Challenge weekend similarly – a time to be together, share and honor the best of the city and its people, and do it our way.

There is a special GORUCK Tough patch for NYC 9/11. Of course it will never be for sale, and it will only be available to those who earn it this weekend.

To bring all the classes – and anyone else in the GORUCK Tough family – together, we will be hosting a pre-Challenge ruckoff, time and date TBD.

$10 of every GORUCK Challenge registration goes to benefit the Green Beret Foundation, but for this NYC 9/11 Challenge we’re asking you to help us raise more for a cause near and dear to our hearts. Especially for those taking the Challenge, please set up a fundraising page here.  We would ask you to try to raise $500. For those who do, we will have a small token of appreciation – in the form of GBF gear, of course. We can’t wait to see you there.
